Jeroen van Driel

Chemical Industry

A seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience in biobased chemistry. Based in The Netherlands, Jeroen has been managing complex international supply chains, establishing distributor networks, and procuring sustainable feedstocks for multinational corporations active in the production of plant-derived, biodegradable chemicals. He was involved in research projects, and global product launches and has a long track record in business development. Jeroen is also a passionate music enthusiast and record-collecting fanatic with a desire to contribute to a net zero music industry.

Bill Gautier Q.B.E.

Music Industry

At the age of nine, Bill’s parents gifted him a guitar, igniting his deep passion for creativity. By fourteen, a recording studio visit crystallized his obsession with sonic audio quality and sound engineering. Bill’s journey began when he left school, striving to enter a world that he longed for, eventually joining the BBC as a sound supervisor apprentice and later venturing into commercial studios. His vast musical knowledge and perfectionism attracted many clients, and he formed a successful Audio/Video Post-Production Business. After many fruitful years in business, Bill returned to his first love of music recording and production, becoming a guiding force for aspiring artists. Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits hailed Bill as “Bill Gautier QBE, Quality Before Everything” after witnessing his exceptional work.

Persia White

Entertainment Industry

An accomplished actress, musician, artist and filmmaker, with over twenty-five years of experience in the film, television and music industry. Well known for her eight years was a series regular in the award-winning TV series Girlfriends, as well as her work in the hit TV show ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ As a musician, Persia has worked with great artists such as Gary Wallis of Pink Floyd, Dominique Miller of Sting, Tricky, Saul Williams, Jerome Dillon (of Nine Inch Nails) Big Bio (of Outcast) the legendary Dave Way, and (BigBass) Brian Gardner. Persia is currently working in the studio on an album with the iconic George Seara. Persia co-produced the award-winning Joaquin Phoenix narrated documentary ‘Earthlings’ has written and produced award-winning independent projects, ‘Carousel,’ ‘Revelation,’ and ‘Emotional Landscapes,’ for Russell Simmons. A lifelong advocate for human, environmental and animal welfare, Persia has worked with Charity Water, Global Green, Mercy for Animals, Farm Sanctuary, and Support and Feed, and received Humanitarian of the Year Award from PETA in 2008. Persia sat on the board of directors for the Humane Society of The United States for eight years, as well as The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, working to save the world’s oceans.

Joseph Morgan

Entertainment Industry

Joseph Morgan, is an accomplished actor, director, and producer, currently making his debut in the DC universe on ‘Titans’ for HBO Max. Joseph is well known for his series regular role as the iconic villain “Klaus” on the hit series ‘The Vampire Diaries, and ‘The Originals.’ During his career Joseph has worked with acclaimed directors Oliver Stone, Peter Weir, Harmony Korine, Steve Shill and more. As an actor he has worked opposite notable talents such as Russell Crowe, Shalto Copley, Walton Goggins, Ron Perlman, and Emily Blunt, just to name a few. Joseph took home The People’s Choice award in 2014, as well as numerous awards for directing and producing independent films Carousel, and Revelation. Joseph supports a host of human, environmental, and animal welfare organizations. Mercy For Animals, Support and Feed, Farm Sanctuary, and with Charity Water building wells that provide safe drinking water for children in Africa.

Karen Emanuel

Music Industry

30 years’ experience in the Music Industry in manufacturing, founder and CEO of Key Productions. Also experienced in Entrepreneurship as the owner of both Think Tank Media (creative design and manufacturing) and Jicaro Island Ecolodge (luxury sustainable hotel). Currently also mentors students at University of Leeds. Active member of Association of Independent Music (AIM) Climate Action Group.

Kyle Devine

Academia

Kyle Devine is the author of Decomposed: The Political Ecology of Music, which is an environmental history of the recording industry. He is currently writing a book about how today’s music industries are responding to climate crisis. Devine works in the Department of Musicology and the Oslo School of Environmental Humanities at the University of Oslo, Norway.

Kevin Smith

Chair/Finance

With over 40 years’ experience of working in finance and with growing businesses, Kevin runs a multi-award-winning business consultancy firm helping business to scale.  He is on the Advisory Board for a number of companies and is also a prolific business author, mentor, and guest lecturer, working with scaling businesses.  He is increasingly involved in businesses in the circular economy and with a green agenda and is proud to be associated with Evolution Music as the Chair of the Advisory Board.

Will Johns

Music Industry

An experienced singer and guitarist. He has worked with artists such as Joe Strummer, Ronnie Wood, Jack Bruce, and Bill Wyman and performed at events such as Blues on The Farm, Birmingham Jazz and Blues, Rainbow Festival and Cambridge Rock Festival along with other international destinations. Will was also nominated the ‘Best Original Blues Song’ by the British Blues Awards for three consecutive years.

Rob Cass

Music Industry

Rob Cass is a music producer, writer and musician based in London.

Early in his production and writing career Rob developed his skills when he was used by Universal Music to produce and mix tracks for hugely successful song writers such as Rob Fusari (Lady GaGa), Blair Daley (Faith Hill), Wayne Hector (WestLife, One Direction, Rascal Flatts), Jeff Cohen (Macy Gray, Big and Rich, Elvis Costello) and David Frank (Robert Palmer) amongst many others.

He has worked with acts across multi musical genres. from Estelle, Kelvyn Colt (Sony), Emily Burns (Island) to young successful rock bands such as Rews, Reigning Days and The dirty Youth to also working with several very successful young American cult indie/electronica artists such as Bill Baird from San Francisco and the highly acclaimed band Motopony and Daniel Blue from Seattle…

Rob has been an inhouse producer at Abbey Road Studios for eight years where he had his own production suite within the premises and worked independently and in association with Abbey Road. This resulted in Rob producing and mixing major heritage artists such as Jack Bruce (Cream), Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Joe Bonamassa, Ginger Baker (Cream), Brian May (Queen), Cindy Blackman Santana (Santana), Roachford, Beverley Knight, Imelda May, Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Baaba Maal to Louisiana blues legend Bobby Rush amongst many others.
